PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pagadianon Inday (ranked 23235 p4p, 5800 weight class) and Vvv Vvv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 86 - 37 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pagadianon Inday!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 93 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vvv Vvv!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Inday defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vvv.
It looked like Inday was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Vvv.

Inday feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Inday slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vvv trying to keep a closed guard but Inday is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Inday is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Inday gets a takedown into half guard.
Inday is controlling the pace.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Inday looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vvv with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Inday content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Vvv trying to control from the bottom.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Pagadianon Inday dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Vvv tries to close the distance and clinch but Inday swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
It looked like Inday was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Vvv.
Vvv shoots in for a takedown but Inday shows good takedown defense.
Vvv shoots for a double leg takedown but Inday sprawls well. He's pushed Vvv's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Vvv gets caught flat footed, as Inday shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Inday controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Vvv wants to control but Inday passes easily into half guard.
Inday slows the pace down in half guard.

Vvv is trying to maintain the position but Inday is very close to passing his half guard.
Inday is controlling the pace.
Vvv trying to control here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Inday perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Inday gets a takedown into half guard.
Inday is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vvv can do to turn this around?
Vvv trying to control but Inday postures up.

Inday content to control rather than advance.
Inday throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Vvv to regain full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Inday is looking to work some ground and pound but Vvv has wrist control.
Vvv being controlled here, momentarily.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Vvv looking for a sweep. Not yet Vvv, not yet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Vvv fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Inday throws a quick counter kick to the body but Vvv avoids it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Pagadianon Inday dominated that second round.
That's time! Inday's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Vvv looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Vvv shoots in and drives through. Inday sprawls well.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Inday shoots in and bounces Vvv off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Inday throws a strike but Vvv rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


That's one minute gone in the round.
Vvv is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Inday keeping moving, preventing Vvv from controlling successfully.
Vvv with a flurry of punches that miss.
Vvv wants to control from the top but Inday keeps moving.
Pagadianon Inday overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vvv controls from within his opponent's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Vvv trying to control the position from guard on top but Inday is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Vvv leaves Inday with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vvv goes for a double leg but Inday avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Inday continues to drive forward.
And Inday counters with a quick kick to the body but Vvv blocks it.
Pagadianon Inday has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vvv Vvv.
Inday tries for a takedown but Vvv sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Vvv is trying to counter with his kicks.

Inday shoots in and gets a takedown into Vvv's guard.
Inday controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Vvv is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Inday content to stall in guard here.
Vvv Vvv has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Pagadianon Inday is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Vvv wants to control the position but Inday says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Pagadianon Inday showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Inday has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
