Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tommy Chong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Justin Russell!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chong defends it nicely.
Chong lands with a hook. Russell tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
A jab from Chong finds it's way through Russell's defenses.
Chong swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Russell.
Russell closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chong did well to prevent Russell getting side control.
Russell is trying to control. Chong wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Russell controlling the pace.
Russell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chong with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chong wants to get back to full guard.
Chong keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Russell works his way into full mount!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Russell cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Russell pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Russell with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Chong on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chong tries to get out of the position.
Russell scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Chong?
Chong holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Russell tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
BOOM! Russell connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Chong is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Russell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Russell lands a big elbow.

Russell lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Russell tries to control but Chong wriggling away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Russell postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Chong looks a forlorn figure.

Chong is rocked!
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Russell.
Oh Chong is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Russell lands a good shot there. Chong covers up! Russell smells blood and goes for the finish - the referee warns Chong to improve his position but he's not intelligently defending himself and the referee has no choice but to step in and end the fight! Russell jumps to his feet and celebrates the important win with his cornermen!
