Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Rothstein (ranked 2937 p4p, 4125 weight class) and Jimbo Johnson (ranked 358 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sam Rothstein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jimbo Johnson! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson misses with a series of wild punches.
Rothstein scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Rothstein wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy. Rothstein not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Rothstein lands with a punch from half guard. Johnson is staying active underneath Rothstein, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Rothstein missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Rothstein winds up and cracks Johnson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Johnson wants to get back to his feet. Rothstein throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Rothstein trying to control from half guard but Johnson is working away. Johnson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rothstein. Rothstein missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Rothstein sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Johnson defending well though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rothstein throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Rothstein is nestled in close to Johnson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Johnson trying to control here.
Rothstein thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Rothstein thows a huge punch but Johnson dodges it nicely.
Johnson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rothstein. Rothstein thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnson's head. Rothstein is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Johnson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Rothstein avoids the attempt from Johnson to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rothstein thowing shots but they're missing. Rothstein postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Johnson looks a forlorn figure.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson blocking the ground and pound. Rothstein putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rothstein punishing his opponent with strikes.
Johnson is rocked! Rothstein postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Johnson bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Rothstein and the fight is over!
