The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorsby throws a poor cross that misses
and Jones counters with a straight right hand.

Svend Thorsby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Thorsby connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jones scrambles back to his feet.

Jones might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Jones takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Thorsby feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Joness jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Svend Thorsby is winning the standup battle so far.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thorsby throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Jones counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.

A less than humble Kim Jones misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
