Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Akira Takanobu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Tsehov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tsehov has chosen Ivan Rebroff - Cossack Patrol as his entrance music. On his way into the ring it seems that Akira Takanobu has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Akira Takanobu seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Takanobu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ivan Tsehov! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takanobu tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tsehov swivels and escapes. Tsehov tries to clinch up. Tsehov misses with a head kick.
Takanobu shoots for a double leg takedown but Tsehov sprawls well. He's pushed Takanobu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Tsehov tries to close the distance and clinch but Takanobu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Tsehov is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ivan Tsehov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tsehov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tsehov doesn't succeed with the takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Tsehov closes the distance but Takanobu moves to the side and Takanobu counters with a single leg into guard. Tsehov didn't expect that. Takanobu advances position into side control! Takanobu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tsehov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Tsehov is looking to regain half guard here but Takanobu keeps moving and retains side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tsehov is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Takanobu is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Tsehov has managed to free his arm - good work. Tsehov is trying to get back to full guard. Takanobu looks to land a strike but Tsehov avoids it nicely and regains full guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Tsehov keeping moving, preventing Takanobu from controlling successfully. Takanobu has gone for a leg lock! Tsehov slips out almost immediately though and dives into Takanobu's guard. Tsehov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tsehov advances to half guard. Takanobu gets back to full guard.

Tsehov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tsehov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Takanobu looking for a guillotine here but Tsehov defends easily.
Takanobu is breathing heavily. Takanobu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tsehov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tsehov clinches but Takanobu breaks the clinch so Takanobu counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Takanobu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tsehov swivels though and keeps the full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Takanobu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Takanobu is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tsehov is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tsehov has escaped and now he's on top! Takanobu working for a triangle but Tsehov defends it easily.
Takanobu escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tsehov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takanobu keeping full guard, as Tsehov tries to pass. Akira Takanobu overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Takanobu has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tsehov is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Takanobu. Tsehov landing strikes. Takanobu is trying to get back to half guard. Takanobu manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Takanobu misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Takanobu looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Takanobu wants to control but Tsehov is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tsehov is trying to control the action in half guard but Takanobu is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Tsehov drops an elbow to the side of Takanobu's head. Tsehov is trying to control. Takanobu wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Takanobu avoids a kick to the body.
Tsehov stuffs the takedown. Takanobu looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tsehov is fending him off so far but Takanobu persists. Nope, Tsehov circles away and we're back to standing. Tsehov goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Takanobu shoots in but Tsehov avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Akira Takanobu. Tsehov fights it but they end up in guard. Takanobu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tsehov works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Tsehov looking for a sweep. Not yet Tsehov, not yet. Takanobu trying to control the position from guard on top but Tsehov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tsehov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Takanobu wants to control but Tsehov is keeping busy.

Takanobu shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tsehov's guard. Takanobu prevents Tsehov from getting back to his feet. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Takanobu trying to control the position from guard on top but Tsehov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Takanobu thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Takanobu is pushing down on Tsehov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tsehov is fighting to maintain full guard but Takanobu has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takanobu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tsehov defends it well. Takanobu is working for a kimura but Tsehov is defending it quite comfortably.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Takanobu is trying to work for a kimura. That's three minutes gone in the round. Takanobu is going olschool here, as he tries to force Tsehov to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Tsehov shrugs it off. Takanobu has hold of Tsehov's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tsehov manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Takanobu swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Tsehov is now in Takanobu's guard. A big mistake from Takanobu there, giving up the dominant position! Takanobu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Tsehov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Akira Takanobu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Takanobu is looking for a triangle but Tsehov pushes his legs off easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tsehov stands up and waves to Takanobu to follow him. Tsehov looks for a takedown but Takanobu sprawls well.
And that's the end of the fight! Akira Takanobu showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Takanobu, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
