The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ford rushes Novak and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Novak is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Ford is keeping busy.
Ford ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ford no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Ford pushes a forearm under Novak's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Novak is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
