The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frazier swats away the attempt to clinch by Machine. Machine feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Frazier really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Machine looking to pass the guard. Frazier trying to keep a closed guard but Machine is proving a slippery customer.
Frazier looking for a sweep. Not yet Frazier, not yet. Machine pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Frazier is keeping the position for now. Frazier controls Machine momentarily but Machine frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Machine seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Machine slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frazier is looking for a sweep. Machine in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Frazier is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ray Machine!
