The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haley scores with the left hand. Markkanen knows he should have avoided that one.
It looks like Lauri Markkanen has been cut.
Markkanen throws a big shot that misses.
Haley staying out of range there.
Haley slips a jab from Markkanen.
Markkanen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Haley lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Haley misses with a looping right.
Markkanen misses with a low kick.
Haley's jab looks to have found its range, popping Markkanen under the eye.
Haley cracks Markkanen with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Markkanen.
Haley tries to counter with a takedown but Markkanen is quick to defend against it.
Haley lands a left and a right that send Markkanen crashing to the mat, dazed. Haley thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Markkanen is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Haley keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Markkanen.
Haley definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Haley cracks Markkanen with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Markkanen falls to his knees and Haley doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nickolas Haley!
