The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie tries for a takedown but Emelianenko sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Emelianenko tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Emelianenko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Emelianenko wants to clinch up but Gracie keeps it at a distance.
Nice straight punches there by Emelianenko. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Emelianenko.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gracie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Gracie is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Emelianenko has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Emelianenko!
Emelianenko wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Emelianenko wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position.

Emelianenko is sitting in close to Gracie's body. Gracie has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Emelianenko is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Emelianenko is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Gracie.
