Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Jaxon (ranked 2159 p4p, 2549 weight class) and Tristan Zigaro (ranked 285 p4p, 322 weight class). Tristan Zigaro will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Jaxon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tristan Zigaro!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zigaro tries to clinch but Jaxon is having none of it.
Zigaro works Jaxon's body with a nice hook.
Zigaro with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jaxon gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Frank Jaxon has been cut.
Zigaro moves in looking to clinch but Jaxon pushes him off.
Zigaro connects with a solid leg kick.
Jaxon walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Jaxon gets a double leg takedown into Zigaro's guard.
Zigaro pulls Jaxon in close to prevent any damage.

Zigaro tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jaxon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Jaxon sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Zigaro is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Zigaro tries to bench press Jaxon off him but Jaxon keeps the position.
Zigaro is not content to let Jaxon control the position.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Zigaro pushes Jaxon away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jaxon gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Jaxon misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Jaxon has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Zigaro!
Zigaro is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Jaxon sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zigaro tries to hold on but Jaxon pushes him away.
Zigaro is desperately trying to improve his position but Jaxon has a good base and remains in mount.
Zigaro tries to lock up and control but Jaxon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Zigaro might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jaxon haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Jaxon is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Zigaro to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Zigaro shrugs it off.
Zigaro is squirming around, avoiding Jaxon's attempts to control the action.
Zigaro wants to control but Jaxon is having none of it.
Zigaro is looking to improve his position but Jaxon isn't that keen on the idea.
Zigaro is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Jaxon has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Zigaro's face.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jaxon in particular looking to stall.

Zigaro is staying active underneath Jaxon, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Zigaro felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jaxon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jaxon looks for a takedown but Zigaro sprawls well.
Zigaro delivers a nice body kick.
Zigaro wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Jaxon walks forward, straight into a front kick from Zigaro.
Zigaro plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Jaxon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zigaro tries to avoid it but Jaxon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zigaro to the ground. Zigaro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Zigaro moves into the clinch successfully.
Zigaro lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jaxon backwards.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Zigaro.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Zigaro. Jaxon shrugs it off though.
Zigaro throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Jaxon gets tackled into the cage by Zigaro. Zigaro maintains the clinch.

Zigaro lands a big head kick that sends Jaxon to the canvas! Zigaro follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
