Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Justin Case (ranked 1882 p4p, 3541 weight class) and Michael Dawson (ranked 215 p4p, 356 weight class). Michael Dawson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Case is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dawson is just riding it out for now. Case eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Dawson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Case is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Case shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dawson as he jumps to the side.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Dawson! But no joy.

Case throws a chopping leg kick but Dawson manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Case uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dawson.
Dawson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Dawson was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Case shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dawson but Dawson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
