Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Armando Cuevas (ranked 3968 p4p, 4076 weight class) and Drake Danger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Armando Cuevas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Drake Danger! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cuevas throws a hook but Danger blocks it. Danger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cuevas moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Cuevas half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Cuevas gets the takedown into side control. Sloppy strikes there by Cuevas. Danger tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Cuevas keeps control of the position easily here as Danger tries to buck him off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Cuevas's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
I would not like to be Danger right now.
Cuevas seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Danger for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cuevas somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Cuevas really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Danger. Danger covering up well under a barage of strikes. Danger is trying to get back to his feet but Cuevas has full control of the position and if anything, Danger has just worked his way into a worse spot. Cuevas missing with strikes. Cuevas controlling the position well here. Danger rolled but Cuevas kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Danger trying to get back to his feet but Cuevas is in full control for now. Cuevas misses with an elbow to the head. Will Cuevas go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Cuevas struggling to land strikes to the head as Danger covers up. Danger wants to get back to his feet. Cuevas trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Danger doesn't escape. Cuevas throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Danger is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Danger has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Cuevas. Cuevas is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Cuevas missing with strikes. Cuevas punches the canvas rather than the man. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cuevas is trying to control but Danger is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.

Armando Cuevas dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Danger keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and Cuevas takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Danger throws a jab when Cuevas was well out of range. Cuevas misses with a hook. Cuevas misses with a straight left. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Danger misses with a series of wild punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Danger displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cuevas throws out the jab. Danger looks to land a right hand but Cuevas moved out of range. Danger slips a straight right by Cuevas. A countering left hand to the body from Danger misses. Cuevas misses with an uppercut
and Danger counters with a lovely shot to the body. Cuevas rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Danger counters with a nice uppercut. Cuevas is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Danger.
Cuevas is rocked! A jab from Cuevas misses. Danger looks to score with a jab to the body but Cuevas is just out of range. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cuevas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Danger swivels and escapes. Danger digs a good hook to Cuevas's body.

Cuevas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cuevas is looking to work some ground and pound but Danger has wrist control. Cuevas's corner is telling him to maintain position. Cuevas continues to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Danger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cuevas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Danger keeping moving, preventing Cuevas from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Armando Cuevas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Danger throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Cuevas throws a right hand that misses
and Cuevas takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Cuevas throws the left hand but Danger avoids the punch easily. Danger lands a really nice looking cross but Cuevas seems unphased.
Drake Danger seems to be getting the better of the standup. Cuevas swings widly with a right hand
and Danger counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Danger slaps away a takedown attempt from Cuevas, before circling back to the center of the mat. Cuevas misses with a right hand and Danger counters with a nice uppercut. Cuevas jabbing away but nothing is landing. Drake Danger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cuevas throws a shot from downtown. Danger moves away and avoids it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Drake Danger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! Cuevas throws an off balance right hand
and Danger counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A telegraphed right hand from Cuevas misses the target. Cuevas has a takedown stuffed. Cuevas is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Danger stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Danger wants it to stay on the feet. Danger wants to clinch up but Cuevas keeps it at a distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Danger's corner calls for a 1-2. Danger obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Nice defenses there by Danger. A little jabbing left from Danger on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Cuevas throws a jab but it's blocked by Danger.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cuevas shoots in and drives through. Danger sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Armando Cuevas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cuevas misses with an uppercut. Danger saw that one coming. A lazy left from Danger finds it's target. Nice sprawl there from Danger as Cuevas shoots in. Danger misses with a body shot.
Danger works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Danger slips under a jab. Cuevas throws a lazy uppercut
and Danger counters with a crisp one two that drops Cuevas! Danger thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Cuevas to his feet! Cuevas is in big trouble! Oh Cuevas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Danger counters with a huge left! Cuevas is in big trouble! He's backing up but Danger isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Cuevas from any more damage. A dominating finish by Danger!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Drake Danger! Our winner, Drake Danger, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
