Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Char Donnay (ranked 1924 p4p, 1555 weight class) and Deebo Samuel (ranked 204 p4p, 165 weight class). Deebo Samuel will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Char Donnay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Deebo Samuel!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donnay tries to clinch up but Samuel circles away and keeps his distance.

Samuel lands a left and a right that send Donnay crashing to the mat, dazed. Samuel thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Donnay closes the distance and clinches up with Samuel, looking for a takedown. Donnay pushes Samuel against the cage but Samuel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Donnay keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Char Donnay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Samuel looks to land a combination but Donnay avoids it well.
Donnay on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Donnay scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Donnay creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Samuel sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Donnay misses with the ground and pound.
Donnay tries to score with some ground and pound. Samuel controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Samuel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Donnay. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Samuel can't do much from the bottom here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Samuel is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Donnay's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Donnay thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Samuel's head.
Samuel is looking to control Donnay's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Samuel avoid being mounted?
Samuel tries to get to full guard but Donnay has control of the leg.
Donnay thows a huge punch but Samuel dodges it nicely.

Donnay moves nicely into side control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Samuel can do anything to dispel that myth.
Samuel is trying to control Donnay's posture but Donnay avoids it.
Samuel tries to buck Donnay off but Donnay is having none of it.
Donnay in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Samuel is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Donnay throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Donnay throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Donnay looks up at the clock and then as Samuel takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Donnay smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Donnay creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Samuel sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Donnay connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Samuel some visible discomfort.

Samuel is rocked!
Donnay lands a strong strike to the head of Samuel. That's dazed him! Donnay looking to finish here. Samuel is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Donnay lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Char Donnay!
A very excited looking Char Donnay made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
