The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costa goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

It looks like Lazlo Lavente has been cut.
Costa connects with a solid leg kick.

Costa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lavente, pushing him back against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Lavente.
Lavente tries to break the clinch but Costa is controlling the position.

Lavente's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Costa blocks a head kick by Lavente.
Costa pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Costa clinches up with Lavente and pushes him back against the cage.

Lavente wants to get back to striking at distance but Costa won't allow it.

Costa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lavente misses with a low kick as Costa jumps back.
Lavente tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Costa is able to avoid easily.
It looked like Costa wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Costa bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A head kick misses from Costa.

Both fighters circling a little - Costa finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Costa ducks under a wild hook from Lavente.

Costa lands a nice shot that snaps Lavente's head back.

That has opened up Lazlo Lavente's cut even more.

Lavente looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Lavente takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Costa misses with a double jab.
Lavente connects with a crisp jab.
Lavente lands a leg kick that knocks Costa off balance momentarily.
Costa pushes Lavente away with a front kick.
Lavente looks winded!
Costa connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lavente. Lavente circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Costa dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Lavente shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

The cut above Lazlo Lavente's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Costa cracks Lavente with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Lavente looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Costa finish him?

Costa is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Costa lands a brutal uppercut that launches Lavente off his feet! Lavente tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

Finley Costa decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
