Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Levi Antero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phill Bateman!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bateman looks to land a right hand but Antero moved out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Antero misses the target.
Bateman throws a good cross that connects.
It looks like Levi Antero has been cut.
A combination from Bateman does no damage.
Bateman tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Antero manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bateman on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Antero falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bateman counters with a leg kick.
Antero takes a jab right on the kisser.
Bateman checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Bateman walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Antero rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Bateman has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.
Bateman is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Antero knocks out Bateman with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Antero before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Antero picks up the big W with a huge KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Levi Antero!
