Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Nikola Djinovic (ranked 4320 p4p, 5277 weight class) and Julio Mata (ranked 407 p4p, 491 weight class). Djinovic comes to the ring accompanied by Hriste Boze. Julio Mata will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, David Schapiro and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Djinovic throws out a loose jab but Mata uses good head movement to avoid it.
Djinovic lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Mata connects with the punch.
Mata scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Djinovic slips under a jab.
Djinovic ducks under a wild hook from Mata.
Julio Mata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Mata.
Djinovic dodges the punch combination from Mata.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mata throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
As Mata looks to move away, Djinovic throws a big counter combo but Mata just gets out of the way.
Djinovic moves into the clinch.
Djinovic manages to break the clinch.

Mata avoids a punch combination nicely.
Djinovic is looking to clinch but Mata is avoiding it.
Djinovic tries to clinch but Mata moves out of range.
Mata throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Djinovic takes the fight into the clinch.

Mata is looking to break free of the clinch but Djinovic has double underhooks.
Mata throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Djinovics head.

Mata tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Djinovic avoids it.
Mata looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Mata avoids a wild elbow strike from Djinovic.
Mata wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Djinovic has him pressed against the ropes.
Mata has had enough of the clinch but Djinovic keeps him there for the moment.
Mata escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mata throws a lazy right hand but Djinovic sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Djinovic fails to land with a series of punches.
Mata wants to counter the offense by Djinovic and move into the clinch position.
