Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Finley Cowan (ranked 4125 p4p, 4127 weight class) and Lawrence Duke (ranked 225 p4p, 224 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cowan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Duke on his heels. He'll look to pass Duke's guard now, I'm sure.
Duke wants to sweep but no luck.

Cowan seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Duke for as long as he can get away with.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Cowan postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Duke looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Duke can't escape the position.
Duke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cowan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cowan is landing with some decent strikes but Duke is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

A head kick misses from Duke.
Cowan half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Duke seems to have recovered his senses.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cowan connects with a nice short shot to Duke's temple.
Cowan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Duke has hold of Cowan's hands but Cowan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Cowan moves into full mount! Duke won't be happy about that!

Duke is working to get back to half guard.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Cowan! Duke is hurt baaadly! Cowan is firing away with more strikes - Duke is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
