The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coke keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Almeida.
Almeida shoots in for a takedown but Coke shows good takedown defense.
Almeida misses with a jab, cross combination.
Almeida shoots for a takedown but Coke saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Coke comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Almeida shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Coke pinned against the cage. Coke gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Coke lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Almeida sprawling to the canvas. Coke follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Almeida hang on?

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Coke misses with a takedown attempt - Almeida sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Almeida looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Coke lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Almeida circles away quickly and effectively.

and Coke counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Almeida closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Almeida drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Almeida seems to have locked his on tight now - Coke screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Almeida, as he picks up the win!
