The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blanco scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Headingery doesn't seem bothered though.
A shot to the liver by Blanco. Beautiful body shot.
Blanco throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Headingery stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Headingery has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Blanco throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Headingery counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Blanco!

Headingery has hold of Blanco's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Blanco seems comfortable defending it but Headingery has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Blanco is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Blanco is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Headingery couldn't care less - he's delighted!
