Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brennan Calhoun (ranked 4160 p4p, 5053 weight class) and Jimar Kinkead (ranked 412 p4p, 470 weight class). Kinkead has chosen No Sunshine as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kinkead shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Calhoun pinned against the cage. Calhoun gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kinkead moves out of range as Calhoun strikes.
Kinkead fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Calhoun sprawls well initially but Kinkead persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Kinkead is working for a submission of some sort.
Kinkead prevents Calhoun from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Calhoun trying to control from the bottom.
Calhoun works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kinkead drops back looking for a leg! Calhoun is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Calhoun manages to kick Kinkead off! Kinkead jumps back into Calhoun's guard.

Kinkead passes into half guard.
Kinkead prevents Calhoun from improving his position.
Kinkead is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Calhoun tries to roll over but Kinkead keeps him under control.
Kinkead moves into full mount! Calhoun won't be happy about that!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kinkead tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Calhoun tries to improve his position but Kinkead has taken his back! Kinkead has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Calhoun tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Kinkead pushes Calhoun away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
