Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Igwe throws an overhand right that lands on Callixtus's shoulder, as Callixtus tries to avoid the shot.
Igwe's corner calls for a 1-2. Igwe obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Igwe pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Igwe missing with a left hand there. Callixtus was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A telegraphed right hand from Igwe misses the target.
Callixtus attempts a counter takedown but Igwe avoids it well and moves away.
Callixtus defending well as Igwe loads up on a big left hand.
Igwe rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Callixtus decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Igwe's guard.
Igwe wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Callixtus manages to pass to side control.

Igwe is refusing to be controlled, as Callixtus sits in half guard.

Callixtus is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Callixtus looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Callixtus is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Igwe wants to control but Callixtus is keeping busy.
Igwe is not content to let Callixtus control the position.

Callixtus trying to mount his opponent but Igwe defends it.
Callixtus uses his free foot to push down on Igwe's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Igwe.
Callixtus looking to control and managing it successfully.
Igwe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Callixtus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Callixtus looking for a guillotine from mount but Igwe is having none of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Igwe can do anything to dispel that myth.
