Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Choi (ranked 4357 p4p, 4419 weight class) and Tamryn Shihsaidov (ranked 271 p4p, 274 weight class). Shihsaidov is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Soviet Connection. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anthony Choi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tamryn Shihsaidov!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Shihsaidov.
Shihsaidov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A little feinted left hand from Choi on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Choi moves forwards but Shihsaidov connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Choi walks into a left hand.
Sloppy strikes from Choi. Those never looked like landing.
Shihsaidov cracks Choi with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Choi shoots in looking for a takedown. Shihsaidov tries to sprawl out of it but Choi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shihsaidov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Choi shoots in for a takedown but Shihsaidov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Shihsaidov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Choi throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Shihsaidov makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Choi takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Choi misses with a looping left.
Choi throws the left hand but Shihsaidov avoids the punch easily.
Shihsaidov scores with a jab to the head.
Choi fails with the takedown.
It seemed like Shihsaidov was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Choi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A jab lands there for Shihsaidov.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shihsaidov scores with the left hand. Choi knows he should have avoided that one.
Choi closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Shihsaidov lands a glancing blow to the side of Choi's head.
Shihsaidov throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Shihsaidov lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Choi is rocked!
Choi walks into a straight right hand from Shihsaidov.
Oh Choi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Choi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shihsaidov avoids it really well and circles away.
Shihsaidov might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Choi looks to land a combination but Shihsaidov avoids it well.
It seemed like Shihsaidov was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Choi seems to have got his legs back now.
Choi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Choi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Shihsaidov scores with a nice head shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Choi moves forwards but Shihsaidov connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Shihsaidov scores with a jab to the body.

Nice takedown defense from Shihsaidov. No joy for Choi on that attempt.
Choi is breathing heavily.
Choi misses with a lunging right hand
and Shihsaidov counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Anthony Choi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shihsaidov keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Shihsaidov lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Choi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Shihsaidov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Shihsaidov lands the left hand.
Shihsaidov lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Choi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Choi is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Shihsaidov just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Choi has gone limp and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tamryn Shihsaidov!
After the fight, Tamryn Shihsaidov was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
