Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Autiosaaren Lapsukainen (ranked 4134 p4p, 5120 weight class) and Jimbo Johnson (ranked 461 p4p, 555 weight class). Jimbo Johnson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Autiosaaren Lapsukainen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jimbo Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Johnson wants it to stay on the feet.
Johnson scores with a nice head shot.
Lapsukainen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lapsukainen tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance.
Johnson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Johnson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Lapsukainen throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Johnson keeps the fight on the outside.
Lapsukainen throws an overhand right that lands on Johnson's shoulder, as Johnson tries to avoid the shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johnson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Johnson tries for a takedown but Lapsukainen manages to get underhooks.

Johnson pulls guard successfully.

Lapsukainen stands up and waves to Johnson to follow him.

Lapsukainen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Johnson is fending him off so far but Lapsukainen persists. Nope, Johnson circles away and we're back to standing.

Johnson clinches up with Lapsukainen and pushes him back against the ropes.
Lapsukainen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Johnson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lapsukainen is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.

The fight stays on the outside here - Lapsukainen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Lapsukainen moves out of range.
Lapsukainen dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Lapsukainen's head and hops out.
Lapsukainen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Johnson sprawls well. Johnson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lapsukainen gets slowly back to his feet.
Johnson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lapsukainen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Johnson misses with a wild body shot.
Lapsukainen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Johnson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Johnson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lapsukainen, pushing him back against the ropes.
Lapsukainen is trying to pull guard but Johnson has him pressed against the ropes.
Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lapsukainen avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Johnson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Lapsukainen wants a takedown.
Johnson tries to land knees in the clinch but Lapsukainen avoids the damage to the body.

Johnson successfully pulls guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Johnson manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the ropes.
Lapsukainen fails to pull guard.

Lapsukainen has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Johnson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Lapsukainen is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Johnson to keep the fight standing.

Johnson drags the fight down to the ground.
Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lapsukainen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Johnson wants to sweep here but Lapsukainen controlling him for the moment.
Lapsukainen stops Johnson from standing up.

Lapsukainen is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Lapsukainen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Lapsukainen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Johnson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Lapsukainen has Johnson pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Johnson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Lapsukainen tries to land knees in the clinch but Johnson avoids the damage to the body.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Lapsukainen is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Johnson is defending well.

Lapsukainen passes Johnson's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Lapsukainen is looking for a kimura but Johnson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lapsukainen to get the leverage.
Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Johnson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lapsukainen is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Johnson is trying to stand back up but Lapsukainen is controlling him

Lapsukainen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Johnson sees it coming and defends easily.
Johnson tries to roll over but Lapsukainen keeps him under control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Lapsukainen is trying to control the action in half guard but Johnson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Lapsukainen tries to stand but can't do so whilst Johnson controls his leg.

Lapsukainen wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Lapsukainen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Johnson throws a leg kick but Lapsukainen sees it coming and moves out of range.
Lapsukainen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Johnson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Lapsukainen tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Johnson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lapsukainen goes for a double leg but Johnson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Johnson continues to drive forward.

Johnson tightens his grip and picks Lapsukainen up, before dumping him to the ground. Lapsukainen manages to land in guard.
Johnson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lapsukainen is proving hard to escape from.

Lapsukainen looking for a triangle here. Johnson is fighting it but it looks tight! Lapsukainen pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Johnson is tapping out - this one is all over!
