Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Edmond Dantes (ranked 1334 p4p, 1508 weight class) and Jambalaya Jones (ranked 160 p4p, 184 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edmond Dantes! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jambalaya Jones! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Jones. Jones cracks Dantes with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. A telegraphed right hand from Dantes misses the target. Jones on the wrong end of a nice hook. Jones connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dantes. Dantes circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Dantes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jones. That did some damage! A slow jab from Jones misses its intended target. Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Jones punishes Dantes's body with a nice straight punch. The fighters circle momentarily. Jones darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Jones shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dantes eats them both and turns towards Jones to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Edmond Dantes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones blocks the body kick.
Dantes thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Jones if he has to take too many more of those.
Dantes tries to land a front kick but Jones steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Jones has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Jones misses with a wild body shot. Dantes walks into a left hand. Dantes pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Jones throws out a counter right but Dantes avoids it with no problem. Good exchange - Jones coming out on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oooooh!!! Jones has knocked Dantes down with a huge combo! Jones steps away and waves a wobbly Dantes back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Dantes is rocked! Dantes leaves his chin hanging out and Jones seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Dantes crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jambalaya Jones! Jambalaya Jones is the new lightweight champion!
