Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yawa Kiang (ranked 23996 p4p, 23932 weight class) and Way Nada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 53 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 41 - 43 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Kiang throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nada was covering up waiting for the punch and Kiang finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Nada managing to control the position.
Kiang controlling from the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kiang is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Nada is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Kiang seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Nada displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kiang.
Nada thinks about the counter body kick.
Nada changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kiang tries to avoid it but Nada manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kiang to the ground. Kiang escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nada shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kiang as he avoids it easily.

Nada fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kiang to the ground. Nada is now in Kiang's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kiang holds on and takes a little breather.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kiang has his hands on Nada's head, controlling the position.
Nada seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Yawa Kiang will probably get the nod.
That's time! Kiang's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Nada defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kiang.
Nada counters with a body kick.

Kiang feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Nada has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kiang off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Nada replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Kiang blocks it well.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Kiang gets caught napping as Nada dives in and scores a takedown. Kiang manages to retain guard.
Kiang is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kiang is trying to control the position but Nada postures up.

Nada controls from within his opponent's guard.
Kiang looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Way Nada showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Kiang throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nada's waist but Nada gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kiang off to one side.
Kiang shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nada pinned against the cage. Nada gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nada raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nada is defended easily by Kiang.

Kiang looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nada is fending him off so far but Kiang persists. Nope, Nada circles away and we're back to standing.
Nada tries a quick counter leg kick but Kiang is wise to it.

I would just about give that final round to Way Nada.
Well Nada has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
