Paul kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Dancing With Wolves-Wu Tang Clan. Jameer Paul has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Paul throws a series of punches but Stevenson avoids them all with ease.
Paul misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Paul fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Paul throws a right and a left that both miss.
Stevenson stuffs the takedown.
Paul fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jameer Paul. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Paul is breathing heavily.
Stevenson looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Paul will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Paul throws a head kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stevenson closes the distance and clinches up with Paul, looking for a takedown. Stevenson pushes Paul against the cage but Paul circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Paul misses with a series of wild punches.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Stevenson! Paul is out on his feet! Stevenson rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Paul is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Paul is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
