And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 13 losses; Stoned Nelson! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Nelson shoots in looking for a takedown. Kulik tries to sprawl out of it but Nelson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kulik manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kulik changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Kulik clinches. Kulik has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Nelson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kulik wants to sweep here but Nelson controlling him for the moment. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Nelson trying to control the action but Kulik just sinks the hooks in. Further stalling from Kulik. Kulik has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Kulik controlling the positon. Nelson manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kulik's guard. Nice work there by Nelson.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nelson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Nelson pushing down on Kulik's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
