This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 91 wins and 54 losses; Moldy Jello! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 26 wins and 36 losses; Gaston Juncker! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and Chris Edwards.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Juncker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jello but Jello pushes him off and we're back to square one. Juncker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jello's waist but Jello gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Juncker off to one side. Jello has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. No luck with that takedown attempt from Juncker. Jello changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Moldy Jello has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gaston Juncker. Juncker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jello but Jello pushes him off and we're back to square one. Juncker shoots for a takedown but Jello saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jello changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Nice sprawl there from Jello as Juncker shoots in. Jello attempts a counter takedown but Juncker avoids it well and moves away. Juncker fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Juncker has his takedown stuffed and Jello counters with a takedown into side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Jello (4) vs (0) Juncker Jello will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jello tries to move to mount but Juncker blocks the move with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jello is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Juncker's shoulder. That is not cool. Juncker struggling a bit here. Juncker tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jello wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Juncker gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Score +2 for reaching mount: Jello (6) vs (0) Juncker Juncker just holding on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jello sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Juncker has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Juncker is trying to escape the mount.
Jello moves to the back. Score +3 for taking back: Jello (9) vs (0) Juncker Juncker tries to escape but Jello has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

That's five minutes gone in the round. Jello avoiding Juncker 's attempts to control his hands.
That's six minutes gone in the round. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Juncker rolls, trying to escape but Jello keeps control of the position.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Juncker is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Juncker trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Good control from Jello. Jello tightening his grip on Juncker, looking for the choke. Jello is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Juncker trying to control the action but Jello just sinks the hooks in.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. What can Juncker do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Jello seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Juncker for as long as he can get away with. Juncker surviving as best he can, preventing damage. Jello slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Jello gets his hands free as Juncker looks to control. Jello trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Juncker doesn't escape. Juncker tries to escape but Jello has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Jello controls the action.

That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Juncker is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Good control from Jello. Jello has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Jello takes the fight on points by 9 to 0. Moldy Jello decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well. |
