The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. MacGowan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Catch Wrestler napping and manages to drive through into side control! Catch Wrestler wants to get back to full guard. MacGowan working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Catch Wrestler's thigh. Catch Wrestler counters though and makes it back to full guard. Catch Wrestler is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. MacGowan wants to pass the guard but Catch Wrestler is keeping the position. MacGowan has gone for a leg lock! That's one minute gone in the round. MacGowan trying to control the position here. Catch Wrestler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. MacGowan swivels though and keeps the full guard. Catch Wrestler postures up.
Catch Wrestler tries to free his leg and advance position but MacGowan is retaining full guard. Catch Wrestler trying to control the position from guard on top but MacGowan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. MacGowan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Catch Wrestler is one step ahead there. Catch Wrestler is fighting to break MacGowan's control of his arms but MacGowan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. MacGowan wants to sweep but no luck. MacGowan is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Catch Wrestler rolls with it to try and escape but MacGowan cranks on the arm and Catch Wrestler is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
