PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Angus Scott (ranked 3734 p4p, 3815 weight class) and Dave Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott comes into the arena with Eatin pussy and kickin ass blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Angus Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dave Alexander!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Scott swats away the attempt to clinch by Alexander.
Scott with a hook.
Alexander on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Alexander on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Scott. Scott obviously looking to wear him down.
A jab from Scott misses.
Alexander tries to close the distance and clinch but Scott swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Scott connects with a good right hand that stumbles Alexander. Alexander circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Alexander looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Alexander fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A slow jab from Scott misses its intended target.
Alexander let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Alexander changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Scott tries to avoid it but Alexander manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Scott to the ground. Scott escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Scott lands a nice shot that snaps Alexander's head back.

Scott tries to bum rush Alexander with a series of wild strikes but Alexander uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Alexander doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Alexander takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Alexander shoots in for a double leg but Scott sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Alexander has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Scott finds it's way round the side to connect with Alexander's head.
Scott throws a big shot that misses.
Scott swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Angus Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Scott feints and then cracks Alexander's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Alexander down.

Alexander tries to clinch but Scott moves out of range.
Scott throws a looping overhand right but Alexander ducks down to avoid it.
Scott stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Scott wants it to stay on the feet.

Scott misses with an uppercut. Alexander saw that one coming.

and Scott takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

enabling Scott to counter with a crisp jab.

Alexander doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

The fight stays on the outside here - Alexander looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Scott appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Scott bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Alexander's head.

Scott scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Alexander doesn't seem bothered though.
Dave Alexander is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Scott paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Alexander fails with a takedown attempt.
Scott lands a nice looking body shot.
Alexander cracks a nice hook into Scott's ribs.
Scott throws a one two combo.
Alexander shoots in looking for a takedown. Scott tries to sprawl out of it but Alexander keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Scott manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Scott defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Alexander.

Scott slaps away a takedown attempt from Alexander, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Scott sets himself, and Alexander steps forward looking for the clinch! Scott avoids it this time.
Scott feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Alexanders jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Scott lands with a hook. Alexander tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Scott lunges at Alexander with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Alexander's hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Alexander shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Alexander is still on wobbly legs! Can Scott finish him?

Scott lands a big uppercut and Alexander crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Alexander looks OK. Scott waves Alexander back to his feet!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Scott misses with a double jab.
Scott drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Alexander right on the button. Alexander goes down! Scott follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Scott gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Angus Scott!
