Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gavrilo Jovanovic (ranked 3848 p4p, 2810 weight class) and Trappy Trapperson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Trappy Trapperson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gavrilo Jovanovic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trappy Trapperson!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trapperson with a poor takedown
and Jovanovic counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
We've been hearing reports that Jovanovic has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Trapperson fails with a takedown attempt.
Jovanovic appears to be looking for a big counter.
Trapperson with a lazy takedown attempt
and Jovanovic counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gavrilo Jovanovic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trappy Trapperson.
Trapperson tries to clinch but Jovanovic moves away
and Jovanovic connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Jovanovic counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jovanovic cracks Trapperson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Jovanovic has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Trapperson to stand back up!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jovanovic cracks Trapperson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Trapperson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Jovanovic pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Trapperson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gavrilo Jovanovic!
An out of breath Gavrilo Jovanovic thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
