This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 10 losses; Desi Kraag! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 3 losses; Gunner Mason! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Kraag tries to keep at a distance but Mason has taken the fight into the clinch. Kraag is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Mason gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Kraag fails to pull guard.
Kraag jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mason walks away with a smile on his face. Kraag gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Desi Kraag. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kraag doesn't manage to clinch there - Mason circles away.
Kraag is looking to clinch but Mason is avoiding it.
Mason steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Kraag. Mason moves into the clinch. Kraag has Mason pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Mason manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Mason pulls guard effortlessly. Kraag pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mason is keeping the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kraag trying to control but Mason is working from the bottom. Kraag avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kraag could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mason trying to control the position from guard on top but Kraag is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mason must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kraag is trying to keep Mason in close.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Mason trying to control the position from guard on top but Kraag is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Mason is sitting in close to Kraag's body. Kraag has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Mason is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Mason is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kraag.
