The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Kraag tries to keep at a distance but Mason has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kraag is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Mason gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Kraag fails to pull guard.
Kraag jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mason walks away with a smile on his face. Kraag gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Desi Kraag. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kraag doesn't manage to clinch there - Mason circles away.
Kraag is looking to clinch but Mason is avoiding it.

Kraag has Mason pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Mason manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Mason must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Mason is sitting in close to Kraag's body. Kraag has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Mason is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Mason is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kraag.
