The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Destroyer drives through with a takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Destroyer (2) vs (0) The Flamingo Destroyer slips nicely into half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Destroyer perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The Flamingo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Destroyer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Destroyer is looking for a kimura here.
Destroyer keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Destroyer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Destroyer is working for a submission of some sort.
