This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Woodie Maykit! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Moses Okafor! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Okafor darts in and clinches Maykit up against the cage. Maykit can't get the takedown.
Okafor successfully pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Okafor tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Maykit advances to half guard. Maykit is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Okafor defends it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Okafor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okafor keeping hold of Maykit's head, controlling as best he can. Okafor is not content to let Maykit control the position. Okafor is trying to maintain the position but Maykit is very close to passing his half guard. Maykit is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Okafor is just riding it out for now. Maykit eventually gives up the hold. Maykit trying to control the action but Okafor is working from the bottom.

The fighters are battling for position here. Okafor manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Maykit tries to free his leg and advance position but Okafor is retaining full guard. Maykit is fighting to break Okafor's control of his arms but Okafor is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maykit is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Maykit looking to sit in guard and control but Okafor gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Okafor seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Maykit pulls Okafor in close to his closed guard and prevents Okafor from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Maykit might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Maykit is trying to hold Okafor in close to prevent damage but Okafor has managed to pass into half guard.
Maykit is positioning himself well to prevent Okafor advancing to mount. Maykit looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Maykit tries to roll over but Okafor keeps him under control. Well, if Okafor is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Okafor stays in close to Maykit's body and controls the position. Okafor tries to free his leg and advance position but Maykit is retaining full guard. Maykit pulls Okafor in to control the position. Maykit is trying to control the position but Okafor postures up. Maykit is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Okafor is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Okafor slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Okafor being controlled here momentarily. Maykit looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Maykit is pulling down on Okafor's head to control his posture. Okafor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maykit swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Okafor trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Okafor is still trying to improve position. Maykit not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Maykit is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Okafor works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Maykit looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Okafor is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Maykit's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Maykit's back! Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Maykit (2) vs (9) Okafor
That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Maykit tries to roll but Okafor sticks to his back.
Maykit wants to control his opponent's hands but Okafor gets his hands free. Okafor keeps control of the position as Maykit tries to break free.
Maykit just trying to survive but Okafor is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Okafor really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Maykit. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
