Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Jim Fish (ranked 2682 p4p, 3214 weight class) and Jacques Durand Jr (ranked 142 p4p, 338 weight class). Durand Jr has chosen Birdman & Lil Wayne - Stuntin' Like My Daddy as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jim Fish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacques Durand Jr! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durand Jr digs a good body shot into Fish's ribs. Durand Jr uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fish. Durand Jr misses with an uppercut. Fish saw that one coming. Durand Jr closes the distance and pushes Fish back into the ropes. Durand Jr has a couple of punches blocked by Fish.
Durand Jr escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Durand Jr misses with a body kick. Durand Jr scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Fish connects with a body shot that sends Durand Jr's belly button to the back. Fish takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Durand Jr breaks the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Durand Jr throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Fish. Fish throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Fish moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Durand Jr lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Fish throws a right hand that Durand Jr ducks under and follows up with a left that Durand Jr also avoids with ease. Durand Jr misses the shot to the body. Durand Jr just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromFish. Durand Jr misses with a looping right. Fish throws a looping overhand right but Durand Jr ducks down to avoid it. And Durand Jr responds with a good body kick, but Fish manages to step out the way in time. Durand Jr is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Durand Jr steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fish. Fish has been working on his boxing with his coaches at 4 in the buildup to the fight. Durand Jr is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Durand Jr connects with a nice looking jab.
Durand Jr scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Fish scores with the left hand. Durand Jr knows he should have avoided that one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Durand Jr throws a leg kick which misses Fish's front leg but catches the back leg as Fish tries to avoid it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fish slips a jab and a cross from Durand Jr.
Fish tries to clinch up but Durand Jr circles away and keeps his distance. Durand Jr ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fish moves away. Fish closes the distance and pushes Durand Jr back into the ropes. Durand Jr with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Durand Jr keeps control of Fish as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Durand Jr lands an uppercut. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Fish. Fish is trying to push Durand Jr away but Durand Jr has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. A quick uppercut on the inside from Durand Jr. Fish gets through Durand Jr's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Fish misses with a short punch on the inside. Fish breaks the clinch.
Durand Jr ducks right into an uppercut from Fish. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jacques Durand Jr dominated that round. That's time! Fish's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Durand Jr takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Fish missing with a left hand there. Durand Jr was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Fish throws a half hearted mid kick. Durand Jr has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Durand Jr throws the kick towards the body but Fish avoids it. Fish avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Durand Jr lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Fish clinches up against the ropes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fish looks to score with a jab to the body but Durand Jr is just out of range. Fish is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Durand Jr's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Durand Jr cracks Fish with a right hand to the side of the head. Fish wants to slow Durand Jr down by chopping away at his legs. Fish moves to clinch but Durand Jr breaks away and Durand Jr counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fish thinking. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Durand Jr jabbing away but nothing is landing. Fish is looking to counter punch. Durand Jr looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Fish tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Fish throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Durand Jr is trying to counter with his kicks. Durand Jr avoids the head kick by Fish.

Jacques Durand Jr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. Durand Jr paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Durand Jr has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Fish waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Durand Jr. Fish moves out of range of the body kick from Durand Jr.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Durand Jr takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Jacques Durand Jr seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Durand Jr breaks the clinch.
Durand Jr swings away with a leg kick that misses. A jab from Durand Jr finds it's way through Fish's defenses. Fish sizes up Durand Jr with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Durand Jr uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fish. Jacques Durand Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Durand Jr jabs Fish to the body, keeping him at a distance. Durand Jr scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Durand Jr connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Durand Jr. Fish is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Durand Jr acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Fish takes a body punch but keeps moving. Fish scores with a crisp jab that stopped Durand Jr in his tracks. Jacques Durand Jr seems to be getting the better of the standup. Fish throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Durand Jr to counter with a crisp jab. Fish tries to close the distance and clinch up but Durand Jr swats him away and circles back towards the center. Durand Jr turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Fish closes the distance looking to clinch and Durand Jr counters with a nice uppercut. Fish takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Durand Jr clinches. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Fish wants to clinch up but Durand Jr keeps it at a distance. Fish misses with a low kick. Durand Jr misses with a wild body shot. Durand Jr misses with a left hand and Fish counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

And that's the end of the fight! Jacques Durand Jr comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Durand Jr has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
