Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Diaz (ranked 5122 p4p, 4117 weight class) and Zander Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 261 weight class). Zander Fisher is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricardo Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zander Fisher! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fisher steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Diaz. Diaz throws a nice looking combination but Fisher bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Diaz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fisher swivels and escapes. Fisher is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Fisher slaps away a takedown attempt from Diaz, before circling back to the center of the mat. Diaz will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Fisher appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Diaz throws a head kick but Fisher moves out of range.
Fisher tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Fisher drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Diaz tries to improve position but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fisher controlling the position from side mount. Fisher's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz is trying to get back to half guard. Diaz manages to work his way to half guard, despite Fisher's best efforts. Diaz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Fisher takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Diaz is trying to stand back up but Fisher is controlling him
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fisher landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Fisher perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Fisher is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Fisher is nestled in close to Diaz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Fisher lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fisher in particular looking to stall. Diaz tries to roll over but Fisher keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fisher not doing much here.

Fisher is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Diaz defends it well. Fisher is nestled in close to Diaz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Diaz is trying to control but Fisher passes into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fisher tries to move into full mount but can't pass Diaz's legs. Fisher is trying to get an arm triangle but Diaz is defending well. Diaz tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fisher wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Zander Fisher dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Diaz tries to clinch there but Fisher circles away.
Fisher clinches up against the cage. Diaz wants a takedown.
Fisher gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Fisher controlling from the top position. Fisher lands a couple of decent looking shots. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fisher works a leg free and moves into half guard. Fisher has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fisher in particular looking to stall. Diaz wants to improve his position but Fisher is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fisher looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Diaz is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Fisher has latched onto it... Big trouble! Fisher pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Diaz is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Fisher!
