The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roylance gets a takedown into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Roylance has a closed guard, preventing Tenk from standing up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Roylance counters with a single leg into guard. Tenk didn't expect that.

Roylance escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tenk gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Tenk avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Roylance had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tenk is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Roylance Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tenk's back instead.

Tenk tries to escape but Roylance has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Roylance is working for a kimura but Tenk is defending it quite comfortably.
Roylance is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tenk is just riding it out for now. Roylance eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Roylance is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Roylance prevents Tenk from improving his position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Tenk counters with a series of strikes. Roylance will be more careful next time no doubt.
