The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Abner clinches up with Pancake and pushes him back against the ropes.
Abner wants a takedown but no success here.
Abner jumps guard but Pancake stands there with Abner around his waist. Abner gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Abner is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Pancake to keep the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Uncle Abner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Abner tries for a takedown. No joy.
Abner is looking to take this one to the mat.

Pancake jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Abner walks away with a smile on his face. Pancake gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

It looks like Pancake might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Abner tries to escape but Pancake has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Abner is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Pancake gets his way!
