The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Archer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've been hearing good reports from Bandito's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Bandito tries to advance to mount but Archer instead regains half guard. Archer is looking for a sweep. Bandito is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Archer tries to lock up and control but Bandito gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Archer defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Bandito. Bandito pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
