Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tingus Pingis (ranked 4142 p4p, 2831 weight class) and Sigandi Legend Timo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tingus Pingis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sigandi Legend Timo!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Timo drops his shoulder and cracks Pingis with a huge uppercut! Pingis goes down! Can Timo finish him?

It looks like Tingus Pingis has been cut.
Timo wants to stand and escape but instead Pingis has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Timo looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Pingis has picked Timo up and slammed him! Timo can't keep hold of the triangle and Pingis manages to pass to side control!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Timo can do anything to dispel that myth.
Pingis lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Timo down.
Timo trying to remain calm as Pingis controls from the top position.
Pingis working the ground and pound but Timo is defending the strikes.
Pingis controls the position.
Pingis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Pingis decides to stand back up.
Pingis tries a head kick but it misses.

Pingis looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Timo tries to roll over but Pingis keeps him under control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pingis is taking a breather. Timo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Pingis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Timo looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Pingis tries to stand and escape but Timo is controlling the position.
Pingis trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pingis content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Pingis not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Pingis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Timo.

Pingis fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Timo sprawls well initially but Pingis persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Pingis is controlling the pace.

Pingis in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Timo tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Pingis!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tingus Pingis!
