Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phal Um (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christophe Duggary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duggary has chosen Tool - Forty Six & 2 as his entrance music. Phal Um has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Christophe Duggary!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Um stalks Duggary and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Duggary's face. Duggary staggers backwards, shaken.
Duggary is looking to clinch but Um is avoiding it.
Duggary takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Duggary throws a big shot that misses.
Um lands with an overhand left.

Um shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Duggary looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Um passes into side control.
Duggary tries to improve position but can't.
Duggary is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Um is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Um knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Duggary on the ground.

Duggary is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Um can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Duggary jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Um manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Duggary wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Um, who protects the arm well.

That's time! Um's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Duggary tries to clinch there but Um circles away.

Um drives through with a takedown into guard.

Duggary has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Um is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Duggary.

Um stands up and beckons Duggary to his feet.

Phal Um has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christophe Duggary.

Um gets through Duggary's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Duggary lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Duggary drops down looking for an ankle pick but Um pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Um counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Um cracks Duggary with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Um drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Duggary had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Um is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Duggary Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Um's back instead.

Duggary has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Um has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Duggary is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Well, with Duggary on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Um is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Duggary is looking for a choke. Um gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Um manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Duggary is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Um avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

I would just about give that final round to Christophe Duggary.
Well Um has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
