Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Gold (ranked 2832 p4p, 25209 weight class) and Dana White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dana White looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Gold! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dana White! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gold uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by White.
White looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! White swings away with a body shot that misses
and Gold counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. White can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gold controls the pace. White throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
White is working an open guard so Gold takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Gold moves into range and clinches up with White. Gold wants a takedown but no success here.
Gold pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gold shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in White's guard. Gold knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for White on the ground. Gold engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Gold gets to his feet. White looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's one minute gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gold. Gold ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Gold shoots in but White avoids the takedown attempt easily. Gold sets himself, and White steps forward looking for the clinch! Gold avoids it this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Gold. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gold clinches up with White and pushes him back against the cage. Gold dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Gold is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gold tries to score a body lock takedown but White shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Gold pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. White has his takedown stuffed and Gold counters by clinching up. Gold's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Gold slowing the pace effectively. Gold seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Gold tries for a takedown but White manages to get underhooks.
Gold jumps guard.
Gold looking for a sweep. Not yet Gold, not yet. Gold on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gold tries to get out of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gold wriggles free and stands up. Gold gets a clinch. Gold changes levels and goes for a takedown here. White fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Gold lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Gold moves into the clinch. White has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Gold seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if White can turn it around. Gold can't get the takedown.

Gold has White pulled in close to control his posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gold escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. White gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Gold managing to control the position. White loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. White stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gold swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Gold dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gold closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Gold breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gold tries for a takedown but White sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. White shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gold counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Gold's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gold throws a nice head kick!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. White stuffs the takedown attempt from Gold. Gold gets slowly back to his feet. White is breathing heavily. Gold clinches with his opponent.

Gold moves into the clinch. Gold breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gold will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Gold. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice sprawl there from White as Gold shoots in. Gold looks to land a combination. White sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Gold moves into the clinch. Gold turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! White tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gold wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Gold is working White over with some ground and pound from side control. Gold remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gold has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. White manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Gold punching from the bottom.
Gold landing rabbit punches to the side of White's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points. White tries to stand and escape but Gold is controlling the position. Gold is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that White can do to turn this around?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gold wants to improve his position but White is controlling well.
White blocks the strikes from Gold.
White prevents Gold from standing back up.
Gold tries to get to full guard but White has control of the leg. Gold controlling the position for now.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sloppy strikes from Gold. Those never looked like landing. Gold has closed the distance and engaged White in a clinch.
Gold is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but White is defending well. Gold is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Gold breaks the clinch.
White is looking to clinch but Gold is avoiding it.
Gold lands a head kick. White smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Excellent takedown into side control there by Gold. Gold is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Gold dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! White fails with a takedown attempt. A little feinted left hand from Gold on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Gold lands a head kick. White smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Gold lands a slapping body shot.
Gold scores with a kick to the midsection. Peter Gold is winning the standup battle so far. Gold with a body punch. A glancing blow. Gold has closed the distance and engaged White in a clinch.

Gold is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Gold manages to break the clinch.

White loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Gold tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gold is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and White defends well. Gold is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White stopping the sweep attempt from Gold. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. White wants to control from the top but Gold keeps moving.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Gold forces White back against the cage and clinches. Gold has clasped his hands together around White's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. You can see the frustration on White's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Gold is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. White knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gold's best efforts. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. White makes his way to full guard. A much better position for White. White throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Gold postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gold is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Gold looking to pass the guard. Gold slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gold darts in and clinches White up against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! Peter Gold showed his dominance in that final round. Well Gold has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
