Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wei Chen (ranked 2637 p4p, 23937 weight class) and Yawa Kiang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yawa Kiang has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wei Chen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 54 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Francis DeMontford and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiang misses with a kick to the body

and Chen counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kiang!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kiang is not content to let Chen control the position.
Chen scores with a couple of short elbows.
Chen works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Chen creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kiang sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Chen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Chen landing strikes.
Kiang takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Kiang takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Kiang is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A big shot lands for Chen! That's hurt Kiang! Will he recover? Chen fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
