Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Giancarlo Zuniga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dakota Simcoe!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simcoe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zuniga pushes Simcoe up against the cage in a clinch.
Simcoe is looking to break free of the clinch but Zuniga has double underhooks.
Simcoe misses with a short punch on the inside.
Zuniga is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Zuniga blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Zuniga swings wildly with an uppercut but Simcoe uses good head movement to avoid it.
Simcoe is looking to break free of the clinch but Zuniga has double underhooks.
Zuniga keeps control of Simcoe as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Zuniga jumps guard but Simcoe stands there with Zuniga around his waist. Zuniga gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zuniga pulls guard successfully.
Zuniga is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Simcoe defends well.
Zuniga pushes a forearm under Simcoe's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Simcoe is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
