Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Harold Morse (ranked 4344 p4p, 4050 weight class) and Manny Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 270 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Harold Morse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Manny Torres!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morse throws a series of punches but Torres moves out of range.
Morse will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Morse lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Torres sprawling to the canvas. Morse follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Torres hang on?

Torres is rocked!

It looks like Manny Torres has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Morse is thwarting Torres's attempts to control the position.
Torres is still in real trouble! Can Morse finish him?
Morse really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Torres looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Torres controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Torres is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Torres seems to have recovered his senses.
Morse trying to control from half guard but Torres is working away.
Morse stops Torres from getting back to his feet.

Torres is doing well to control the position and prevent Morse from advancing to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morse is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Torres doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Morse.
Morse slips a nice elbow through Torres's hands, connecting with Torres's forehead.
Morse is keen to just control but Torres is a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Torres moves into full guard.
Morse would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Torres throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Torres is adopting a defensive guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Morse throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Torres.
Morse misses with a jab, cross combination.
Torres showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Morse.
Morse is breathing heavily.
Morse throws a right hand that Torres ducks under and follows up with a left that Torres also avoids with ease.
Morse misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Harold Morse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morse falls off balance throwing a combination

and Torres counters by moving into the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Torres is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Morse can't fight it off and eventually Torres manages to take the fight to the floor. Morse looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Torres stays in close to Morse's body and controls the position.
Torres is pushing down on Morse's leg trying to pass to half guard. Morse is fighting to maintain full guard but Torres has managed to sneak the leg through.
Torres drops an elbow to the side of Morse's head.
Torres works his way into side control.
Torres advances nicely into full mount.
Morse is in a horrible position here. Torres smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Torres landing strikes from the mount and Morse is in trouble!
Torres takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Torres scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Morse?

Torres stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Torres drives through with a takedown into Morse's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Torres controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Harold Morse dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Manny Torres's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Torres lands a slapping body shot.

Torres clinches.
Morse trying to stall but Torres improves his position.
Morse wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A short right from Morse.

Torres successfully pulls guard.
Morse trying to control the position from guard on top but Torres is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Torres manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Morse manages to get himself to full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Torres is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Manny Torres has got the better of the ground game so far.

Morse is working an open guard so Torres takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Morse dodges the punch combination from Torres.
Torres shoots for a double leg takedown but Morse sprawls well. He's pushed Torres's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Morse throws a nice looking combination but Torres bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Torres closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Morse did well to prevent Torres getting side control.
Morse is trying to stand up here but Torres is controlling him well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Torres is looking for a kimura but Morse is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Torres to get the leverage.

Torres wants to work for an arm triangle but Morse is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Morse trying to control from the bottom.
Torres is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Torres seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Torres's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Torres frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Torres controlling the pace for now.
Torres lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Morse hang on?
Torres breaks from Morse's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Torres lands a big elbow.
Torres has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Morse takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Torres moves to the back position.

Torres has managed to slip his arm under Morse's chin. This could be all over... yep, Morse is tapping out! Submission win for Torres.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Manny Torres!
