Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tanjiro Namikaze (ranked 2467 p4p, 2813 weight class) and Jarron Faith (ranked 174 p4p, 201 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tanjiro Namikaze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jarron Faith!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Namikaze shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Faith as he avoids it easily.
Faith tries to clinch up.
Namikaze attempts a counter takedown but Faith avoids it well and moves away.

Faith instigates a clinch.
Namikaze is trying to break the clinch but Faith is controlling him.
Namikaze wants to stall.
Namikaze stalling against the cage.
Namikaze is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Faith lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Namikaze backwards.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Tanjiro Namikaze.
Faith ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Faith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Faith misses with a body shot.
Faith fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Namikaze on the side of the head.
Faith misses with a double jab.
Faith tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Namikaze was well out of range. Poor timing from Faith.
Faith ducks right into an uppercut from Namikaze.
Namikaze looks to throw the jab but Faith is out of range.
Faith lands with a cross.

Namikaze scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Faith tries to get to full guard but Namikaze has control of the leg.
Namikaze seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Namikaze connects with a nice short shot to Faith's temple.
Namikaze working over Faith with some ground and pound. Faith looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Namikaze tries to pass the half guard into mount. Faith knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Faith wants to control but Namikaze is keeping busy.
Namikaze slips a nice elbow through Faith's hands, connecting with Faith's forehead.

Faith felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Namikaze wants to pass the guard but Faith is defending well.
Faith has hold of Namikaze's hands but Namikaze slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Namikaze is trying to improve position by moving to mount. Faith has hold of his neck though and manages to move into guard! All of a sudden, Namikaze is in a lot of trouble! Faith is straining to finish and he's done it! Namikaze taps out! Amazing!
