Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marc Horton (ranked 5879 p4p, 25114 weight class) and Barry Parrish (ranked 447 p4p, 450 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marc Horton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Barry Parrish! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horton walks into a jab. We've been hearing reports that Horton has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Horton looking to land some kicks to the body here.
It seemed like Parrish was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Horton scores with a jab to the body. Horton thows a body kick. Parrish tries to catch it but that hurt him. Horton with the inside leg kick. A telegraphed right hand from Parrish misses the target. Horton is looking to land body kicks. Parrish slips a straight right by Horton. A nice side step and Parrish releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Horton lands with a kick to the temple. Parrish shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Horton scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Parrish avoids the head kick by Horton.
A little jabbing left from Parrish on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Barry Parrish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Horton scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Parrish doesn't seem bothered though. Parrish throws a right hand that misses
so Horton counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Horton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parrish wants to sweep here but Horton controlling him for the moment.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Horton trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Horton slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Horton wants to control from the top but Parrish keeps moving. Parrish working a defensive guard here.
Parrish wants to sweep but no luck. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Horton wants to control from the top but Parrish keeps moving.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Horton thows a body kick. Parrish tries to catch it but that hurt him.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Horton darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Parrish takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. A telegraphed right hand from Parrish misses the target. Horton throws a hook to the side of Parrish's head but Parrish sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Parrish thuds a left hand into Horton's body.
Horton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Horton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Horton working away. Horton landing a few strikes. Parrish is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Horton has hold of Parrish's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Parrish tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Horton cranks the arm and Parrish screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Parrish, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Marc Horton! Barry Parrish spoke after the fight, saying 'No worries, I just wanted to see what showed up in my TOTT!'.
