Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julio Christ (ranked 2255 p4p, 2657 weight class) and Kova Luu (ranked 131 p4p, 148 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Julio Christ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 1, fighting out of London, Kova Luu!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luu feints and then cracks Christ's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Christ down.
Luu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Luu throws a push kick but Christ slaps the foot to one side.
Christ takes a swing at Luu's ribcage but misses.
Luu tries to counter with a clinch but Christ shakes him off and moves away.
Luu throws a quick inside leg kick.
A right-left combo lands from Luu.

It looks like Julio Christ has been cut.
Luu connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Luu keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Christ.
Luu throws a head kick that misses.
A nice leg kick from Luu, right into the meat of the thigh.
Christ avoids the head kick by Luu.
As Luu looks to move away, Christ throws a big counter combo but Luu just gets out of the way.
Luu throws the kick towards the body but Christ avoids it.
A counter left hand to the body from Christ misses its target.

Luu throws a hook to the side of Christ's head but Christ sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Luu misses with a head kick.
Luu tries to clinch up but Christ circles away and keeps his distance.
Luu goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
It looked like Christ wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Christ sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Nice jab there from Christ.
Luu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Some wild striking there from Christ.
Luu with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Christ to score with a decent uppercut.
Christ looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Luu closes the distance and clinches.
Luu misses with a knee to the head.
Luu throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Christ blocks it with crossed arms.
Christ swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Luu throws a head punch that misses.
Christ works on Luu's body with a couple of short punches.
Luu looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Christ's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Christ counters with a straight right hand.
Christ fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Luu looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Luu has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Christ.

Christ scores with a hook to the body. Luu takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Luu steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Christ.

Kova Luu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Christ circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Luu tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Christ wins by KO!
