The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson blocks a head kick by Mankowski.

Mankowski throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mankowski wants to clinch up but Watson keeps it at a distance.
Mankowski dives in for a single leg takedown but Watson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Mankowski misses with a takedown attempt - Watson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Watson takes the fight into the clinch.
Watson jumps guard but Mankowski turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mankowski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mankowski is looking to cinch up a triangle. Watson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mankowski's body to avoid the submission. Mankowski has instead reached around Watson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mankowski arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
