Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Amari Howell! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Melvin Ibarra! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Howell. Howell throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Howell is trying to get an arm triangle but Ibarra is defending well. Howell grinds an elbow into Ibarra's temple. Howell has hold of Ibarra's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Ibarra seems comfortable defending it but Howell has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Ibarra is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Ibarra is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Howell couldn't care less - he's delighted!
